Tiny Table Cooks Summer with Nisha Parmar – Rainbow Cheese Toasties

Mum, Masterchef 2018 semi-finalist, cafe owner and private chef to a string of celebrity clients – meet Nisha Parmar. This Summer, we’re hugely excited to have Nisha join us on Tiny Table as our resident family-food chef. Each week throughout July and August she’ll be sharing her most loved family meals straight from her kitchen to yours. Believing food is the best way to bring families together, Nisha recipes, step-by-step videos and fail-safe top tips will make whipping up bites for your brood a breeze. 

Nisha’s Rainbow Toasties

A fabulously fun, quick and colourful lunch the kids will love to help to make. Paying homage to our brilliant NHS over the past few months and inspired by Juliet Sear’s unicorn toastier, this rainbow bright lunch uses just a handful of ingredients and is sure to brigten up summer holiday lunchtimes.

You Will Need…
4 slices of bread
Grated cheddar cheese
Assorted natural food colourings

Butter both sides of your slices of bread and lay on a chopping board.
Grab five handfuls of grated cheddar cheese and place into individual bowls ready for colouring.
Mix each batch with the desired food colouring, making sure the cheese is evenly covered.
Lay the mix in order of the colours of the rainbow, from red to purple.
Place your second slice of bread on top to create a sandwich.
Grill for 2 minutes, turn over and grill the other side for the same amount of time.
Slice and serve with crisp, rainbow bright veggie sticks.
