Tiny Table Cooks Summer with Nisha Parmar – Chicken Pie

Mum, Masterchef 2018 semi-finalist, cafe owner and private chef to a string of celebrity clients – meet Nisha Parmar. This Summer, we’re hugely excited to have Nisha join us on Tiny Table as our resident family-food chef. Each week throughout July and August she’ll be sharing her most loved family meals straight from her kitchen to yours. Believing food is the best way to bring families together, Nisha recipes, step-by-step videos and fail-safe top tips will make whipping up bites for your brood a breeze. 

Nisha’s Chicken Pie

Nothing says comfort food like pie and mash! A delicious creamy pie, made with freshly roasted chicken, leeks and a golden pastry top. Serve with buttery mash and steamed greens.

You Will Need…
1 medium chicken – season with olive oil, salt and pepper. Roast covered with foil for 1 hour, remove foil and cook for further 30 minutes at 190 degrees
2 Leeks 
3 Cloves Garlic 
1 tablespoon plain flour 
1 tablespoon English mustard 
1 teaspoon dried/fresh herbs like thyme, tarragon or parsley 
500ml chicken stock 
2 tablespoons creme fraiche 
1 ready rolled shortcrust pastry sheet 
1 egg, for eggwash 

Cook in oven for 20-30 mins at 200 degrees until golden and crisp.
