Father’s Day 2020 – Dining, Drinks & Delivery Delights

Whilst Father’s Day (Sunday 21st June) may be a little different this year, it doesn’t mean the gifts can’t be as delicious as years gone by. From al fresco feasts, a la carte curries or a socially distanced afternoon tea – we’ve got twelve tasty ideas how you can treat the main men in your life…

Ormer Mayfair

The brainchild of Executive Chef of Ormer Mayfair and BBC Two’s Great British Menu 2020 Finalist Kerth Gumbs and his team, Ormer At Home has been keeping us fed through lockdown with a la carte treats when we’ve craved a taste of restaurant realness. With Father’s Day falling on Sunday 21st June what better way to show your appreciation for all that Dad does than by ordering home a Sunday Special from Ormer at Home. This sharing roast is comprised of a succulent roast chicken, Yorkshire puds, gravy, a creamy-as-you-like mash and all the trimmings.

La Fromagerie

If your Father is La Fromagerie fan, they will adore receiving one of their gift boxes this Father’s Day. Resplendent with the finest cheeses, vintage wines, craft beers and biscuits bites and the like, the choice is vast and each one as utterly delicious as the next. From a Fondue Savoyarde box packed with Comte, Emmental and Beaufort Chalet d’Alpage alongside a crisp Chignin Vers Les Alpes and all the fondue paraphernalia, The Italian Box with native cheeses, wine and accompaniments to the British Cheese and Beer box – home-grown heavenly cheddars, Tunworths and Stitchelton with pale ale, stout and table beer from the Kernel Brewery.

Paul A Young
