A fellow Night Feed App contributor and like-minded mama, we couldn’t wait to sit down with Brooke and discuss all things dinners, date nights and her best advice for dining out with two tiny tots…

1. I’d like a table for…
4 please! We are just starting to resurface with our latest addition, Coby (3 months) joining my husband, myself and my daughter Lyla (2 years). Eating out with 2 young kids is definitely more about the brunches and twilight dinners these days, and we can wait for Coby to sit at the table with us too!

2. Early-birds catch the coffee at…
My recent favourite is a new french pastry shop in St John’s Wood called Laurents.

3. Best brunch with kids?
The Summerhouse in Little Venice has a lovely kids menu, and it’s on the canal so you can watch the boats passing. They served my daughter water in one of those cups that looks like it has water and fish inside and it was her favourite thing ever!

4. Children’s menu must-visits…
Fego in St John’s wood or any Pizza Express for easy guaranteed success!

5. Where do you grab a bite with mums en masse?
Hygge Pygge Cafe in Chalk Farm has a great play area in the lower ground floor and tons of space for us mums to sit while the kids entertain themselves!

6. Hidden gem for treating tiny ones?
A special treat would always be a trip to ZSL London Zoo –  their new kids area is a real gem as is their cafe. Plus, we love their brilliant interactive activities – who wouldn’t want be a zookeeper for the day?

7. Best piece of advice for dining out with kids?
Bring entertainment. Colouring, plastic animals or an iPhone as last resort! Also treat your child like a member of the table – we often order food she could share and talk to her to keep her interested.

8. Date night – takeaway or take me out?
Definitely take me out – we spend far too many nights in when the babies are tiny, so I can’t wait to get dressed up and have somewhere to go. I love trying new places and I’m definitely partial to a fancy cocktail!

9. My earliest food memory…
My mums chicken soup has been a staple forever. I can’t wait to teach my own kids to make it one day!

10. Five mums, one table – who’s joining you?
I would love to hang out with the brilliant ladies from This Is Mothership and I think Holly Willoughby would be such fun. I’d love a chance to talk to get to know the ‘real‘ Meghan Markle. Finally Beyonce, because I feel we definitely have a connection, she just doesn’t know me yet!
