She’s queen of the brunches with a mini-much in tow, we’re so thrilled to welcome The Munch Brunch Kids founder Poppy Woodcock as our guest contributor on Tiny Table. What better way to kickstart The Munch Brunch Kids brand new column than with a feel-good family bite for overcoming January blues…
Now we know December is all about indulgence – eating huge quantities of festive food, drinking Baileys for breakfast and falling face first into a tub of Celebrations at every opportunity. Don’t even get us started on what we let the kids tuck into! And although that’s what Christmas should be about, it’s hard at the beginning of the year to ignore an inbox full of motivational ‘New Year, New You’ emails! ‘Mum guilt’ is bad enough already… we don’t need to add dieting into the mix!
In complete contrast January tends to be month of resolutions, banning booze (it’s hard to resist a cheeky glass of wine when the kids are in bed) and eating a little healthier. The good news is you don’t need to feel deprived… a visit to The Farmers Mistress is the answer! A favourite cafe of ours and perfectly placed in family friendly Battersea, you can meet friends for brunch, relax in stylish surroundings and indulge in their ‘naturally naughty’ dishes. The menu makes eating right easy and offers up something for everyone…
