The brainchild of Tony Kitous, is the man credited with putting the glamour into Middle East cuisine, Comptoir Libinais’ wholesome and healthy Lebanese food in as colourful as it’s souk-inspired interiors. This festive season if you’re looking to ditch the traditional spread and amp up the spice, vibrancy and sunshine packed plates, Comptoir Libanais’ Christmas Feast menu serves up somethinga little different for under £25 per person. It’s out with the vol-au-vents and in with a marvellous array of mezze – golden hued hommos flecked with harissa chicken, plump vine leaves and pastry parcels filled with minced lamb pepped up which a cheeky garlic sauce. For mains little ones will love the tender and bitesized lamb kofta served with vermicelli rice, roasted sea bass with braised fennel, harissa and honey grilled baby chicken and for vegetarians, the aubergine and feta shakshuka is meat-free magic. Purists will love the Christmas date pudding rich with white chocolate but our fave – a perfectly pink rose mouhalabia – a traditional rose water milk pudding with slow cooked berry compote.

If days out with the kids over Christmas require something fast, fresh and balanced, make LEON your first stop. With a children’s menu formulated against Children’s Food Trust guidelines, the menu is nutritious and caters for a myriad of dietary requirements. Why not warm up nippy winter mornings with a hearty pot of Ruby Red porridge topped with strawberry, blackcurrant and raspberry compote and swirl of almond butter. For weaning ones the toast and banana is a great mini much on-the-go. Virtuous lunches include meatballs or chicken, both served with rice, peas and broccoli, portions are the perfect size and full of flavour. Served up with a drink and activity pack, who need Happy Meals when Leon’s serves up smile worthy suppers. Christmas cheer for mums and dads come in the festive Christmas Wrap – British turkey, ham hock, and pork, sage & onion stuffing balls, all wrapped up with spinach, tarragon mayo and a cranberry & clementine sauce – what a cracker!

Did someone say Christmas pizza? Yup we’re not bluffing – family-friendly favourite Franco Manca’s Christmas menu is one which we’re mostly definitely going to make time for this December. Bubbles, bites and festive flavours all for under £20. Alongside the stalwart seven, there’s four seasonal pizzas to sink your teeth into. From the 306, a spicy lamb sausage, rich ricotta and yellow tomato from Vesuvio; a veggie melee – the 416 – caramelised red onions, mixed wild mushrooms, seasonal pesto and British mozzarella, vegan’s rejoice for the 602 – wild mushrooms, Kalamata black olives, 3 chilli mix, fresh baby kale and butternut squash base  and the pizza de resistance… the 318, an all mighty mix of a lightly spiced Ventricina salami, oozy Colston Bassett stilton, fresh baby kale all on a caramelised onion base. With a kids menu offering serving up a pizza, drink and an ice cream for a fiver, what’s not to love!

For a festive feast to remember, Vivek Singh’s Cinnamon Collection of modern Indian restaurants have a range of menus and packages to suit all budgets. From an indulgent feast in the stunning surroundings of The Cinnamon Club’s Grade II-listed Old Westminster Library to a relaxed four-course menu south of the river at Cinnamon Kitchen Battersea, Vivek’s signature dishes fuse subtle spicing with Western influencers for a truly unique Christmas spread. Guests can expect dishes such as Keralan style lobster flamed soup and clove-smoked lamb rump. The Cinnamon Kitchen’s Junior Menu is a must – lighter spiced dishes still packed with flavour. A sweet Peshwari naan and house black daal is rich and comforting or a firm favourite, the tender herbed chicken skewer with steamed rice. With daily-changing homemade ice cream to finish, scoop up this brilliant menu for just £9.

Designed for little ones up to the age of 8, Wahaca’s kids menu is a brilliant bite of Mexico’s street food. Cheese toasted quesadilla sandwiches jam packed with guacamole are the gooey with goodness but we absolutely love the build your own tacos. Inspiring kids to craft their own meals, pick from chicken, steak, crunchy cod or seasonal veggies and layer up with crunchy lettuce, a zingy tomato salsa and mashed guacamole.  Only £5.75 with a drink included, Thomasina Miers offers up a kids menu with a twist. This Christmas, why not bring together your brood for a Mexican feast at Wahaca. Street food bites are given seasonal shine – think turkey & stuffing taquitos, slow-cooked beef brisket tacos, prawn cocktail tostada and mince pie empanada with brandy butter ice cream.

In our opinion when it comes to burgers there’s only one place – Honest. Chicken, beef or veg – the offering is pared back but deliciously executed. Throughout December, you can sample their seasonal stack – the Honest Christmas burger. Beef, smoked bacon, deep-fried camembert, cranberry sauce and rocket with rosemary salted chips, this twist on the traditional Chrimbo dinner just got juicy! Whilst we can greedily gobble down a burger in record time, for kids, the menu is the same as the adults just served in children’s sized portions. The mini burgers come with our rosemary salted chips, and cost 50% less than the grown up sized dishes. Gluten-free goodness can also be whipped up as the ask of a hat.

He may be all Grinch on TV but when it comes to serving up Christmas goodness, we can always rely on Gordon Ramsay. From Bread Street Kitchen and Hidden Heddon to The Narrow and The Savoy Grill, look no further for a little A-list Christmas family feasting. Camden’s York and Albany is embracing fairytale festivities with their cosy Gingerbread Cabin. Decorated with Christmas trees, frosting and candy canes, the cabin is decked out with sweets, festive décor and cosy cushions – the perfect winter retreat to snuggle up with family at this December. Children can enjoy their own Festive menu for just £15 including mini pigs in blankets, fish & chips bites, gingerbread and fruit shots with a Kids Slim Santa mocktail, made with raspberry, apple juice and lemonade. For big kids, why not enjoy a Gingerbread Espresso Martini or Mixed Berry Mulled Wine whilst nibbling pigs in blankets, ginger parkin and sticky toffee bites. Plus, if you’re looking to get creative, you can decorate your own giant gingerbread cookie for £10.

If your little ones are noodle fans, Wagamama’s winter warmers won’t disappoint. For grown ups why not turn up the heat with a steaming bowl of tantanmen beef brisket ramen. Nabbing both the number one and two spot in Time Out’s Best Christmas Sandwich list, Paul Bakery have a lot to be merry about this festive season. For the fourth year in a row, their Sandwich Dinde de Noël is their crowing glory. A feast sandwiched between PAUL’s insanely. good sage, onion & cranberry bread – expect sliced turkey, smoky bacon, crisp fresh spinach, cream cheese & horseradish sauce. At number 2, the vegan All About the Sprout Sandwich is a green dream. Love em or hate em, we think this roasted Brussels sprouts sarnie laden with houmous, grilled carrots, sweet chestnuts, pickled red cabbage and PAUL orange jam and old English chutney is something pretty special!
