Food and family are at the heart of everything at Beam. Established by mother and son team native to N8, their award-winning independent cafes (in Crouch End and Highbury, soon to open in Notting Hill) have families flocking for as shot or two of their Allpress coffee and a bite. Whether it’s a full to the brim breakfast burrito with scrambled eggs, crushed avo, chorizo and peppers or a comforting classic of a mushroom omelette packed with cheddar cheese, eggs are every which way at Beam. Those on the hunt for a gluten-free brunch, Beam’s buttermilk pancakes are as fluffy as you like served sweet and savoury with a berry compote, crisp bacon, salted caramel and maple syrup. For under 12s, the kids menu is an array of kids favourites, think fish fingers and peas; sausage broccoli and beans; chicken nuggets and chips and a smaller stack of pancakes with maple syrup and blueberry compote.
