Italian Mama’s Summer Kitchen at La Cucina Caldesi
Sharing their secrets of the trade and dishes of their heritage, Giancarlo and Katie Caldesi’s celebrated La Cucina Caldesi is a veritable treat for families looking to explore traditional Italian cuisine.  Opening the doors of La Cucina Caldesi across July and August, your kids will have the amazing opportunity to learn, cook and enjoy a three course Italian meal courtesy of Italian Mama’s Summer Kitchen. Exploring seasonal ingredients and traditional techniques, from savoury to sweet, this two and a half hour course comes complete with a full recipe pack so they can recreate nonna’s finest fare at home.

Biscuiteers DIY Icing Cafe
Teatime just got tasty! If you’re a pottery café fan, Biscuiteers fantastic DIY Icing café will be right up your street. You, or your little Biscuiteer, can get creative by choosing from the daily selection of biscuit designs, icing colours and array of delectable decorations. Once you’re finished icing, the team will pack your favourite biscuit in to one of their hand illustrated biscuit gift boxes to take home. Biscuiteers DIY icing café lasts for up to an hour and is £18 for three biscuits, and includes all your icing materials plus one decorative box for your finished design.

Kids’n’Sushi Classes at Sticks’n’ Sushi
If your little ones are sushi fiends but a tasty trip is often peppered with questions as to how each wondrous roll is made, worry no longer – those clever folk at Sticks’n’Sushi have come to save the day (and summer holidays!) with their ingenious Kids’n’Sushi classes. Held at multiple venues across London and the UK, your little ones can spend the morning making their own sushi rolls and nigiri, all followed by taking home some of their hand made treats and that all important goody bag. Parents are welcome to stay in the restaurant and enjoy a coffee or tea whilst the children master the art of sushi rolling.

Children’s Cookery at The Cookery School at Daylesford
Providing the perfect introduction to cookery for children aged between 5 and 8 years old, The Cookery School’s Budding Chefs course inspires little ones to think about where their food comes from before it hits the plate. Starting the day with a guided tour of Daylesford’s 25 acre Market Garden, kids will have the chance to harvest seasonal ingredients to star in their very own cookery creations. Returning back to the kitchen, everyone will cook their own nutritious and delicious dishes, sitting down together to enjoy each dish they make, accompanied by organic Daylesford juices. Leaving with a recipe pack and plenty of ideas, this half day course is ideal over the summer holidays.

Chocolate Lolipop Making at Melt London
Founded by Londoner Louise Nason, Melt may be known for making the capital’s most luxurious handmade chocolates, but did you know they run a selection of courses for kids and teens alike? From the origins of chocolate to discovering the raw ingredient, the humble yet heroic cocoa pod, kids have the chance to get hands on crafting and decorating their very own chocolate lollipops. With courses available on Sundays at the Ledbury Road store nestled in Notting Hill, let your little ones dabble in some hands-on piping, painting with coloured cocoa butters and creating their own unique design to be devoured!

Pizza Workshop at Bread Ahead
One for the teens this August…Bread Ahead believe the key to perfect pizza is a perfect pizza base, and this pizza workshop gives you all of the guidance and instruction needed to create just that. During this half day workshop you’ll create pizzas topped with fresh produce from Borough Market. And of course, pizza never tastes better than when it’s fresh from the oven, so you’ll have plenty of time to enjoy your masterpieces during the class. Mini bakers will also craft crunchy grissini and delicious garlicky doughballs. This workshop is suitable for all levels of experience and runs for 3 hours.
Price: £90 for 3 hours
Minimum age: Kids under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult who is also participating in the workshop.
