Be A Junior Chef at Hicce This Half Term

Taking residency at Coal Drop Yard’s Wolf & Badger, hicce, is a must-visit for mamas looking to explore the world of cookery with their kids this half term.

Meaning ‘current, of the moment’ in Latin, hicce is the brainchild of Pip Lacey and Gordy McIntyre. Pip is best known for her time at Angela Hartnett’s Michelin starred Murano and her celebrated win on Great British Menu 2017. Her passion and skill for using the barbeque as a fuel source; grilling to steaming and smoking has formed the basis of a delicious family-friendly modern menu at Hicce. Their celebrated Hicce hot sticks – skewers of meat, fish and veg lit up with flavours from across the globe are a firm favourite as are their glorious Sunday roasts. Charcuterie, cheese and vegetable laden grazing boards are perfect for sharing as a family if you’re looking for a lighter mid-mooch bite.

Serving up lunch with a twist. this half term, be sure to join the hicce team between 18th – 22nd February for hicce’s Junior Chefs* event. Pip and Gordy will open up the doors of the kitchen between 11am and midday to allow kids (5-14 years old) to create their own healthy and nutritious lunch from a myriad of the restaurants ingredients. Plus, in support of Fizz Free February, go-getting mini gastronomes to concoct their very own homemade sugar-free soft drink to sip and enjoy with their hand-crafted lunch.
