BKD Baking School

BKD launched in 2015 from founder Adelle Smith’s kitchen in Shoreditch. From Mini Bakers kits to celebrated courses, you and your family can join BKD this summer in venues all over London from the uber-trendy Hoxton Hotel Shoreditch and Eggbreak in Notting Hill to BKD’s very own kitchen in the heart of Peckham. Themed classes are fun, messy, creative and suitable for age 3+. From unicorn cupcakes laced with creamy buttercream, to pirate biscuits topped with sprinkles and googly eyes, your tots will not only take home their sweet treats but also be awarded a super cute certificate of amazingness. Kids’n’Sushi Classes at Sticks’n’ Sushi

If your little ones are sushi fiends but a tasty trip is often peppered with questions as to how each wondrous roll is made, worry no longer – those clever folk at Sticks’n’Sushi have come to save the day (and summer holidays!) with their ingenious Kids’n’Sushi classes. Held at multiple venues across London and the UK, your little ones can spend the morning making their own sushi rolls and nigiri, all followed by taking home some of their hand made treats and that all important goody bag. Parents are welcome to stay in the restaurant and enjoy a coffee or tea whilst the children master the art of sushi rolling.

Bread Ahead 
Have you got a brood of budding bakers in the making? Bread Ahead’s Summer Family Baking course will delight with two scrumptious summertime recipes that the whole family will love. Tapping into fruits of the season, your little ones will whip up and learn how to decorate your very own Raspberry Ripple loaf cake before moving onto a zesty batch of St. Clements Shortbread – a treat with a cuppa! Kids must be at least 5 years old and one adult supervising is required for every 2 children attending.

Kids Cook for Free at Jamie Oliver’s Cookery School
With a passion for extolling the virtues of healthy eating and food education to big and little kids alike, Jamie Oliver’s Cookery School is just the place to learn the art of cooking from scratch. Across July and August, you can join Jamie’s team for a very special lesson where parents and children cook together and kids go fo free (children must be over 8 years old)! Whether your offspring wants to be the next pasta master or fancies learning how to whip up a tasty thai green curry, the course are plentiful and after you’ve both cooked up a storm, you’ll have the chance to take a seat and feast on the food you just created.

Italian Mama’s Summer Kitchen at La Cucina Caldesi

Sharing their secrets of the trade and dishes of their heritage, Giancarlo and Katie Caldesi’s celebrated La Cucina Caldesi is a veritable treat for families looking to explore traditional Italian cuisine.  Opening the doors of La Cucina Caldesi across August, your kids will have the amazing opportunity to learn, cook and enjoy a three course Italian meal courtesy of Italian Mama’s Summer Kitchen. Exploring seasonal ingredients and traditional techniques, from savoury to sweet, this two and a half hour course comes complete with a full recipe pack so they can recreate nonna’s finest fare at home.

Chocolate Lolipop Making at Melt London
Founded by Londoner Louise Nason, Melt may be known for making the capital’s most luxurious handmade chocolates, but did you know they run a selection of courses for kids and teens alike? From the origins of chocolate to discovering the raw ingredient, the humble yet heroic cocoa pod, kids have the chance to get hands on crafting and decorating their very own chocolate lollipops.
